We already had, or could borrow, a lot of the cutting and sanding and painting tools we needed.
Cabinets:
• Minwax "Special Walnut" stain (smallest container) — $5
• Semi-gloss polyurethane (smallest container) — $5
TOTAL: $10
Countertop:
• WilsonArt "Travertine" laminate sheet — $58
• Particle board — $30
• Contact cement — $30
• Trimmer tool — $20 (It was supposed to be used to trim the edges of the laminate. It didn't work that well, and was confusing to use. Don't buy one.)
TOTAL: $138
Backsplash:
• Tile — four 12"x12" sheets at $10 apiece — $40
• "Vintage White" Grout — $27
• Grouting Sponge — $2
• Mortar — $12
• Rubber Float (to apply grout) — $5
• Trowel (to apply mortar) — $2.50
• Spacers — $5 for a bag of a lot of them
TOTAL: $93.50
• Two eight-foot wood pieces for frame — $14
• Wood glue — $2
• Silicone — $5
TOTAL: $21
Which means the grand total for our bathroom makeover was: $262.50
Not bad at all for how much better it looks! (Matt said he thinks it looks better than the original, and let's face it: if I hadn't tried to paint the countertop, we would never have done any of this!)
In this post I like all the pictures. Because the bathroom are well furnished and looking great. The tiles are installed very well. Many websites available there on Internet about tile installation.
