I'm Allowed to Have Adam Levine's Love Child

This happened like a month and a half ago, but I just remembered (thanks to Kate and Adam's posts this week) and still find it funny. This is just for fun, and is not serious in any way.

Matt and I have been watching The Voice for a few seasons now, and every season we each pick a judge whose team we want to win, because we are competitive. :) Matt occasionally switches it up, hopping from Team Blake to Team Christina this year, but I have always stuck faithfully to Team Adam. I get the type of sound he's going for with his artists, and I like the music style, and he seems like a good coach. Plus, he won the first season, and I had faith he could pull it out again and take the title away from Blake.

AND HE DID. (via)

Then, right in the middle of the season, Adam became People magazine's Sexiest Man Alive. Personally, I don't think he's the sexiest man alive. Certainly he's attractive, but he's definitely not on my Celebrity List, a la Friends. (That would be reserved for Orlando Bloom, Lee Pace, Jeffrey Donovan, James Marsden and Neil Patrick Harris [YES I KNOW].)

Helloooooo.

At some point after the magazine cover was debuted, Matt and I were "arguing" about something silly while watching The Voice, and I laughed and told him to watch out or I was going to have to leave him for Adam Levine.

And he said fine, go have Adam Levine's baby.

And I said, you would not be okay with me having Adam Levine's baby.

And he said, actually, I would be kind of impressed. I'd give you props.

... We'll call him an alternate. ;)

Who's on your Celebrity List?

  1. I almost spit out my soda reading the blog post title while scrolling through my Bloglovin' feed LOL. I think Adam Levine is quite hot myself... and LOVE the Friends references. One of my all time favorite shows!

  2. That's a hilarious reaction. Personally I think the best looking guys in Hollywood are all dead or way too old for me. :P

  4. My friends and I refer to our celebrity freebies as the people "in our sandwich." (It's a long story.) Hunter Parrish (from Weeds) was in my sandwich for a while, but I realized he didn't have staying power and took him out. Now it's Prince Harry and Leonardo DiCaprio. (What can I say? Childhood crushes die hard.)

  5. I'm just going to right out and say it... Adam Levine is totally on my celebrity freebie list! I have loved him since before I even met my husband (and I met him almost 10 yrs ago!). What can I say? I'm committed.

  6. Ha, this is hilarious! You can tell you like a certain type, and then there's Doogie over there. :P You should definitely see Good Will Hunting. I had to think about this a bit, but my list would definitely include Jake Gyllenhaal (those eyes!), Don Draper (not Jon Hamm, just Don Draper), and Kit Harington who plays Jon Snow, though he is a baby. So embarrassed! :P

  7. I'm pretty sure my husband would have Adam Levine's love child if possible, that man is just plain hot. We don't have an official Celebrity List, but Ben Affleck and John Krasinski would definitely be on mine!

    1. LOL. I don't think Matt has a list, other than he once told me if he ever met Heidi Klum it'd be like, "Allie who?" I think that's fair, haha. ;)

  8. He is on my list! He has been since before The Voice, so you'd have to through me first!
