The "Reverse" Bucket List

The other day, I was going through my blog reader and I came across a post on Rachel's blog about the adventures we have in life before we ever think to come up with a list of adventures we want to undertake. That is, things that didn't make your 30 Before 30, or 101 in 1001, or bucket list because you've already done them. I started thinking about the things that didn't make my own list. I'd already done some pretty epic stuff before I started Everyday Adventures. Here are some of mine (complete with pictures!).

My Reverse Bucket List

• Went horseback riding
• Attended a murder mystery party

• Visited Disney World
• Learned how to drive
• Lost a dance-off
• Went snowboarding in Colorado

• Went to Midnight Yell when OU was playing A&M, and wore my OU gear
• Watched my high school's football team take the state championship

• Married my high school sweetheart
• Blogged for Weddingbee
• Visited the Alamo
• Took hiphop dance classes
• Hiked in Maui

• Met someone famous
Interviewed (a different) someone famous

What would be on your Reverse Bucket List?

  1. Cool! We all really do have our own unique collections of random interesting accomplishments, and I love that! I actually attended a murder mystery party for the first time about a year ago, and it was really fun! But I've never met anyone famous, and you're intriguing me as to who it was!

  2. I love the idea of a "Reverse Bucket List." I sometimes feel intimidated by life lists because they seem so daunting, but it can be great to look back at your past accomplishments. You've done a lot!

  3. I really like this idea! It's a fun more fulfilling alternative in a way to a bucket list. As for a few quick things I've done, I've been to Europe and Asia, I've survived a hurricane and an earthquake. And I was in a musical. Although I might have to come up with a longer list to feature on my blog, so thanks for the idea!

And just letting you know, I'm stopping by from the weddingbee boards where I post as Miss Ariel!

  4. What a fun and interesting concept! I might have to sit down and write one of these out someday! Loved it! And I don't think I knew that your husband was your high school sweetheart! I always love those kinds of stories. There were two people from my HS graduating class who married one another, and I just think they're probably the cutest & sweetest couple ever. But hey, what can I say? I love love :)

    1. I never know how to classify our relationship ... we started dating a month before we graduated high school, but were kinda sweet on each other for like, our entire senior year. :-D

  5. What a great idea, I tend to focus on all the things I want to do rather than remembering all the great things I have been blessed with already. Love your list!
