Happy birthday, Everyday Adventures!

Two years! How has it already been two years?? I guess it's true that time flies when you're having fun. Anyway, here are the top 5 most popular posts I wrote in 2012!

TURNING A DRESS INTO A SKIRT

I turned an old shrunken dress into a simple skirt, with my limited sewing skills. I also said at the end of this post that I would someday learn how to sew in zippers so I could fix more dresses I have in a box in the craft closet. I haven't done that yet, but I think I will attempt that this year.

I'M SUPER BORED OF MY HAIR

I guess I'm just living the dream — my boss is cool with my having multi-colored hair. ;) I ended up dyeing my hair pink (though it looked purple), and promptly decided to never do crazy colors again. (Because of the dye leakage and many problems associated with it, not because I didn't like it.)

OUR MILLION-DOLLAR-WINNING HALLOWEEN COSTUMES

I'm a last-minute-costume kind of gal, but our first-ever couples costume (contestants on The Amazing Race!) needed more than a few days worth of planning. But they turned out fabulously!

SAYONARA, LAMINATE

Even though this project ultimately turned out to be a bust, I'm kind of glad it's gotten as much traffic as it has; if I can save anyone the money or hassle of trying to paint their own laminate countertops, the mess in our upstairs bathroom was well worth it.

FRIDAY FLASHBACK: THE BLUE WALL

Every time I go back to my parents' house, I miss that blue wall. It was so fun, and made me super happy.  I like that nowadays it's more "normal" to do crazy wall colors in houses, but somehow I doubt Matt would ever let me have a super-bright sponge-painted wall in our home. He already lets me get away with so much.

What would you like to see more of in year three?
