I'm Not That Adventurous

Skydiving seems to be one of those things that most people feel like they absolutely MUST DO before they die.

I am not one of those people. I would be 100% content to never fall out of an airplane.

Matt has gone skydiving twice. Thankfully, I was with him neither time, and told him to call me when it was over and he was back safely on the ground.

That's Matt falling out of the sky. (Pic by his sister.)

I'm not scared of the traditional "reasons why not" — like parachutes that don't open — though that's a little worrisome.

No, I just don't like the feeling of falling. I don't really like roller coasters either.

I think if the opportunity to go skydiving ever presented itself to me, I would turn it down. I know that's lame and un-adventuresome, but there are just some things that don't sound like any fun, and jumping out of a plane is one of them. (Bungee jumping is another.)

Have you ever gone skydiving? If not, would you?

  1. I have absolutely no desire to skydive, bungee jump, etc. I don't care if that makes me lame either, I like being safe and on the ground.

  2. I think it'd be fun, one day. My dad has a CRIPPLING fear of heights (won't go to the windows of tall buildings, even), and skydiving is on HIS bucket list! It's crazy. Both parents are going sometime soon, my mind is BLOWN.

    1. Wow, that's so brave of him! I'm not afraid of heights, and I can't even imagine how terrifying an idea it would seem from that perspective!
