Happy Birthday, Everyday Adventures!

I started Everyday Adventures three years ago today, around the time I started blogging for Weddingbee. I've written blogs on and off since November 2002, most of them personal and strictly for my own amusement, with limited audiences of … um, maybe two in-real-life friends who also blogged? And while I've always loved writing them, it wasn't until Weddingbee that I discovered just how much I loved sharing with a wider audience, swapping ideas and getting to know others who loved this little hobby just as much as I do.

Because it's true. After 11 years, I still love blogging just as much as I did the first time I posted. Hopefully my writing has improved since then, too, but since I'm not going to share those first posts, you'll never know. :)

ANYWAY, as I do on every blog birthday, I'm sharing the top five most popular posts from this year. Thank you for continuing to read and share with me, and for allowing me the opportunity to share with you.

DOWN THE KOLACHE TRAIL: SOUTH ROUTE

One of these days we'll go back to Schulenberg and try that one kolache place we missed. Also, my mother-in-law shared an article with me that listed several other kolache places I hadn't heard of in central Texas, so we may need to try some new ones too!

I'M GOING VEGETARIAN. STARTING NOW.

I'm still happy with my decision, and most of the time I still don't crave meat. I did accidentally eat some bacon at Christmas, but in my defense, it was hidden in some pickled red cabbage, and I stopped eating it as soon as I realized it was there.

A NOTE FOR OUR FUTURE SELVES (DING DONG, THE BATHROOM'S DONE!)

Thank you, Pinterest, for reminding me of all the tedious work our bathroom reno took! I stand by my statement that next time we decide to renovate, we will just pay someone else to do the work.

THE RULES FOR GARBAGE

I learned this game while we were visiting some of Matt's relatives in Chicago. I think it's cool, getting to learn about Matt's childhood, and his family traditions.
REVISITING THE CITY I'VE VISITED A HUNDRED TIMES BEFORE

This was my recap post for Bees Gone Wild, when some of the Weddingbee bloggers converged on Austin. I loved having the chance to meet so many other bloggers in real life, and do some fun, out-of-the-ordinary activities!
